  Dr. Norman and his staff are top-notch. Before during and after surgery, everyone was so nice and professional. I definitely recommend him for anyone considering parathyroid surgery.

  The Norman Parathyroid Center is truly the best place in the country to get your parathyroid surgery performed. I am a physician, and had my surgery done there yesterday. From start to finish, the entire process was done with the highest medical skill, and also with incredible staff friendliness, professionalism and attention to detail. The facility is beautiful and state of the art. I believe all of the intake personnel, techs, nurses, anesthesiology doctors, nurse anesthetists and, of course, the parathyroid surgeons themselves genuinely cared about me as a person and their patient, never making me feel like I was just another stop on the assembly line. The fact that they perform parathyroid surgeries through such a small incision, remove the tumors preserving the gland if possible, investigate all four glands no matter what the nuclear medicine scan showed, and use the latest technology intraoperatively to ensure they know how much parathyroid hormone each gland is producing, IS very special and unique. Never doubt that this is worth the trip to Tampa, because what they offer is definitely the best way in every respect.These things were not available in North Carolina where I live, even from well-respected, excellent ear, nose and throat doctors at a major medical center, simply because they do not ONLY focus on hyperparathyroidism and parathyroid surgery like the Norman Center does. Getting a second opinion consultation from the Norman Parathyroid Center and deciding to have my surgery here was absolutely the smartest and best decision possible, and I did a huge amount of research into it and examined every shred of medical and surgical knowledge about hyperparathyroidism beforehand. I have a somewhat unique perspective since I am a physician and surgeon myself, though not a specialist in this area, and I can assure anyone contemplating having their surgery here that you are making the right decision, and that every patient will be treated with the highest degree of compassion and skill. I have the utmost respect for the incredible website they have built, which provides information and imparts knowledge with such completeness and detail in varying levels of difficulty so that everyone can understand it, regardless of scientific or medical experience. They get my highest recommendation, and I can say with 100% confidence that everyone deciding to have their surgery done here can rest assured they will be getting the best care possible and will leave completely satisfied. Thank you to everyone who took such good care of me!
